The Policy Pulse

where health meets governance

I am Foster Worlanyo Agotse, a senior radiographer, MPH candidate, and aspiring public health practitioner.

After five years on the frontlines of clinical healthcare, I created this space to do something the exam room rarely allows: step back, examine the bigger picture, and ask why. Why do preventable diseases continue to claim lives in communities with access to effective interventions? Why do health systems designed to serve the most vulnerable so often fall short? And what does the evidence say about how we fix it?

This platform is where I explore those questions through evidence-based blog posts, policy briefs, and commentary at the intersection of health systems, financing, and equity. My writing draws on clinical experience, academic training, and a specialised interest in health systems strengthening, health policy analysis and advocacy, and health financing, with a focus on communities in low- and middle-income countries.

I believe that good public health writing should do two things: make complex evidence accessible, and make the case for change impossible to ignore. That is what I aim for here.

Whether you are a fellow health professional, a policymaker, a student, or simply someone who cares about global health equity, I hope you have a good time here.
